Sunday Evening

We went to Lee and Cammie's house for dinner tonight.  The children were so excited to see Aunt Cammie's chickens, and indeed, Brandt was hardly inside the whole time we were there.  He was out in the yard with chickens around his feet most of the evening, in spite of the chilly wind.  He is truly the heir of Droubay Land and Livestock, a farmer boy at heart.  Blythe helped Uncle Lee make Rice Krispie treats, and we all enjoyed their efforts.  It was a lovely evening of good food and good company.  Good chicken too, both in the yard and on the table (don't tell the chickens in the yard!).
