Friday Evening Activity

On Wednesday, my mom arrived at our house bearing the makings for taquitos, salsa, and guacamole, having begun to make them and then losing interest in finishing.  She told me we should make them and have someone over.  So I promptly invited her to be the someone and join us for dinner on Friday.  She and Donovan came and we rolled, chopped, and munched.  The taquitos, topped with a green salsa, the guacamole, Mexican cheese and crema, were yummy, and it was fun to have my mom and Donovan with us.  Donovan loves to be with Brandt and Blythe and they are pretty good to entertain him, when they don't think he is being a pest.

In addition to Mom and Donovan, we also had McKenna and Greyson (Blythe's half-siblings) with us.  Grayson's birthday was on Saturday, and it was also the day that both of them were sealed to Scott and Dawn.  Dawn was feeling the pressure of getting everything done that she wanted to do, so I took the kids for a couple of hours so she could run errands.  It was fairly crazy at our house for those couple of hours.  Five little people six and under made for quite a whirlwind of activity. I was glad not to be the lone adult taking care of all those children.  We did manage to get everyone fed, no one was injured, and we even got to be outside for a bit in the late evening sun.
