Swimming in January

For weeks, Cora has been asking to go swimming at Grammy Sue's house.  She'll say, "I want to go swim at Grammy Sue's pool," or "Can we go swimming?"  She's put on her swimming suit and floaties, she's pulled out her goggles, she's looked longingly out the windows at Grandma's house.  Kal, too, is obsessed with water.  So today,  I coordinated with Mikayla for us to go swimming at the rec center.  My kids were willing, her kids were willing, we went.  We swam, we slide, we splashed, we did washing machine, we dunked each other, and we went around and around and around in the lazy river.  It was all wet and wonderful and made us long for summer sun and Grandma Sue's pool.
