Popularity

There was a touching moment between Brandt and Kent today.  George is staying with us (he's here for Brandt's baptism) and is sleeping in Brandt's bed, so Brandt is on the floor in our room.  Brandt woke today, climbed into bed with Kent, gave him a big hug and said, "Dad, I love you so much."  Pause.  "Mom is the most popular, but you are number four."  Kent was too fractured laughing to follow up on who was two and three, but he has resolved to do better.

Later, when I asked who was number two and three, Brandt said he was two and Blythe was three, leaving Kent number four.  I guess we can't always be the most popular.
