Don't Drive Over It!

Saturday afternoon, after a swim at Grandma Sue's, we went to get some dinner.  As we were driving along 1460 North in Provo, we came across a downed power line lying across the road.  We stopped and called 911 and then, under direction from the dispatcher and with help from another man, directed traffic around the downed line.  Brandt was super excited about the emergency vehicles that were coming to handle the situation, and we stayed until two police cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance arrived.  We have talked about our participation several times since, evidence of the thrill of helping our emergency workers.

Wire down.

And watching anxiously for the emergency vehicles we can hear coming.

Here they come!
