We gathered for our annual Fourth of July swim party at Grandpa De and Grandma Sue’s house with the DeMartini side of the family cousins. We swam, we ate delicious food, and had two kinds of homemade ice cream. While emptying the ice cream maker, Brandt got a spoon so he could taste the first batch. As he shoved spoonful after spoonful into his mouth, he said, “I really love this!” We all do. We did not leave a single mouthful at Grandma and Grandpa’s house when we left in the evening.

Kent swam with us, and since he isn't always with us when we swim at Grandma and Grandpa's house, he was fairly mauled by the children. They love to be with them. If he is around, Brandt and Blythe want him and not me. So they happily swam with him, occasionally drifting over to me, but not often.
