Block Party VI

This evening was the sixth annual Block Party, hosted by the ever-ready-for-a-good-time Drakes.  Normally this party is held at the beginning of the summer, the first weekend of June.  The Drakes were away in Singapore, however, at the beginning of June, then they adopted a baby at the beginning of July, then other cul-de-sac dwellers had stuff, so this year it was an end of summer party.  I can't say enough good about where we live.  We are surrounded by good people with good kids who want to do good things.  They are kind and service oriented.  They are funny and interesting.  It's always a good time when we are together.  Today was no exception.  There was a dunk tank, a water balloon toss with over 1,000 balloons, wiggle car races, tug of war, good food, soda, and a late movie.  We visited and laughed, watched all the children run around wildly, and just had a marvelous good time.  Couldn't have been better.  I took one picture, of Brandt and Paul Moreland, drinking their sodas as they chatted on the curb.  Good times!
