Sunset Delight

Blythe raced into the house this evening and said, “Quick! I need your phone! The sky is amazing!” then dashed out again to take a picture. I followed her out because who doesn’t love a beautiful sunset? We were not disappointed.

Sunday Selfies

Since I created a "Sunday Selfie" tag,
Brandt has taken it upon himself to make sure he always takes a Sunday selfie.
Or two.
Or three.

And while this picture isn't a Sunday selfie,
it is the sun setting on a beautiful Sunday evening.
I love it when the sky gives us a show.

Light on Rock Canyon

The light shining on Rock Canyon tonight was amazing!!!  It was otherworldly.  It looked like there was a giant spotlight shining up from Rock Canyon park illuminating the sides of the canyon.  I don't know how it was happening based on the location of the setting sun, but as I drove up to the house, I honked and yelled for everyone to come out and look because it was unreal.  The picture doesn't capture it well.

The sunset the other direction wasn't too shabby either.

Une Artiste

As the sun set this evening, the sky was glorious.  Blythe was enchanted and wanted to paint the sunset, racing around trying to gather her painting supplies and frantically trying to get herself set up.  I suggested she take a picture and just paint from that.  She calmed down and took a picture, then calmly began to paint.  I love the result.
