Each year, as I do a photobook of the children for their birth mothers, I get to December and I don't have any pictures. I have to finish the books well before Christmas so that I can them printed and mailed, but that means I haven't taken pictures yet. Usually we go to the DeMartini Family Christmas party and have a picture with Santa and a funny picture from the Christmas photobooth, but that wasn't happening until later, so I needed something. This evening, I had the kids put on funny headwear and stand in front of the tree. A couple of pictures later, I was able to finish this year's photobooks and get them ordered. Here are the silly photos.

December Christmas Pictures
Two sets of antlers make Brandt look like a very floppy reindeer.
Two Christmas trees on top of Brandt's head.
He wanted to camouflage behind the real tree.
I can hardly see him.

Behatted
Friday was my last day of work, so wouldn't you know it, only two days later, I've got small people who don't live with us, hanging around the house. I love it! Today, these two were behatted in a very silly manner, Cora with my crocheted hair hat, and Kal wearing a beanie on top of his hoodie hood. I love having both of them around.
Those faces!
And while it has nothing to do with Cora and Kal being over, because it is Sunday, just for fun, I made Bavarian pretzels. They were delicious, a big hit with everyone.

Squid Hat
This most excellent example of haberdashery silliness is a squid hat. Kent suggested we get it in order to embarrass our sweet and extremely sensitive daughter Blythe, and I fully supported his idea. Blythe thinks it is the worst and will NOT wear it. She won't even allow it to be in the same room with her, even if it's not on someone's head. I find it an absolute hoot and wish I had six or seven places a week where I could wear it. I need a job working with children where a squid hat would be appropriate. At least a job working with more tolerant children than my own, like Cora, who thinks the hat is terrific. There is no picture of me in the squid hat because Blythe yanked it off my head before we could take one.
