Deacon Bike Repair

This evening, for young men, Kent had the deacons all bring over their bikes and he showed them how to change a tire and patch a tube.  Ten youth, along with Kent and Aaron Oyler, milled around the backyard, trying to get wheels on and off bikes.  We had a small box full of eight or nine tubes that had holes in them, and he showed them how to identify then patch a hole.  Three tubes total were fixed.  When I asked how it went, Kent replied, "It was chaos.  Like always."  But through it all, he was incredibly patient.  I hope the boys learned something.

After I had posted about this event, I found a video Brandt made with Paul Moreland and Eva Runia as co-producers.  They were sending a car down the slide on the play equipment, then sending the camera itself down.  Here are some of the quotes from the video.
Evan Runia: "You Mom is recorded as a failure."
Brandt: "Hey! That's mean!"
Brandt: "Let's see that in slow motion!"
Evan: "Test #266 by my calculations."
They were spying on Blythe and Ava Davis who were playing in the Lindberg's backyard, much like a creeper, filming their activities through the trees.  All this, while they were supposed to be at the patio, learning about bike maintenance.

Eye roll.
